About Zoë
Zoë originates from Southampton, now living in Fleet and is a freelance musician and teacher of the Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute.
In 2004 she graduated from Surrey University with a 2:1 BMus(Hons) degree under the tuition of Peter Nichols. In 2005 she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Saxophone Performance at Trinity College of Music, studying with Melanie Henry and Gerard McChrystal.
Zoë actively perform on Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone saxophones, B flat Clarinet, A Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Alto Flute and Piccolo.
In July 2003 she achieved a Guildhall Certificate in Performance with Honours on the Saxophone.
Zoë currently performs with the function bands Soul Calibre, The Groove Company and Higher Love performing all over the UK at various functions. As part of the saxophone quartet Sax Collective she toured the UK, most recently performing in the sell-out show at the Fringe Festival ‘The Joy of Sax’. She has also performed with the function bands; The Stylettes, Spitting Feathers, and Elite Syncopations. Read about the bands she is part of.
Zoë is also pursuing a solo-performing career and performs regularly in pit bands for various amateur musical productions and with backing tracks at weddings and corporate events. If you would be interested in hiring Zoë for one of your events, please get in contact.
Zoë has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Royal Festival Hall, Purcell Rooms and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Centre, Isle of Wight Festival and have toured with Opera Della Luna, Hacienda ClassicalQ The Music Show - The James Bond Spectacular. She performs and teaches a wide range of music from Classical, Jazz, Pop and Funk. Her music has taken her on tour to America, China, France and Holland and has been lucky enough to make several appearances on television and radio.
Zoë currently teach saxophone, flute and clarinet to students in local Independent Schools.
